Nevada Gaming Commission - Vegas Hand Helds Closer

You soon may be able to gamble without turning on your computer.

The Nevada Gaming Commission is considering adopting mobile gambling regulations. The law to allow wireless handheld devices in hotel-casinos was passed last year by state legislators. The regulations would ensure minors aren’t using them and that they’re being used only in authorized areas other than the main casino floor.

Nevada is the first state to approve mobile gaming. Adoption of the rules is expected at the commission’s March 23rd meeting in Las Vegas.
